Yahoo Inc. said Wednesday it has struck a deal to be the default search on Firefox Web browser on the desktop and mobile devices in the United States engine, so as to replace the company's search engine Google.
Yahoo said it will begin the Mozilla Foundation and developer of the Firefox browser to work with this transaction in the month of December and will continue to work for a period of five years.
It is noteworthy that there is an agreement between the two Yahoo and Microsoft, where the first is based on the research of the recent Bing search capabilities in private motor engine discussed.
The Firefox browser has accounted for 10.4 percent of web browsers in the United States market, behind Google Chrome search, which accounts for 33.5 percent gain of the engine, according to company StatCounter figures for the month of October.
